Will this test me multiple choice?  Will we be expected to draw diagrams?  If I fail can it be taken over again, if so, what is the waiting period?

Yes, it is multiple choice. No diagrams. You can take it over if you fail. I believe the waiting period is 10 days.

Let us know if we can help you further.

Couple of questions.  I had a special in 2003/04, I didnt renew it because I had a Career change.  Im looking to get it again, just wondering if I am required to take a course before testing, and do I have to pay 60 since I let it expire.

Also does Jim Larson have a brother that works for MMC?

Thanks,

Tim,

You have 30 days to renew your license when it is due. If you do not renew within this time you have to pay an additional fee. If you don't renew within one year from the due date, then your license is revoked and you need to retest and pay the exam fee all over again.

You are not required to take a course. That said, the exams have become quite a bit more difficult within the past few years, so you may want to take our exam prep class.

If you are serious about getting into the business, you may want to consider our STS-1 class. We get calls from graduates telling us they were hired primarily because they took the STS-1, which is pretty good since it is only an 80-hour class (2 evenings/week x 10 weeks).

One guy worked in the yard at an Xcel Energy class and he was promoted into operations. We were told this promotion was due at least in part to his attendance of our STS-1 Program.

Also, if you take the STS-1, you get a free, pass-guaranteed exam prep with it.

I'm not sure about Jim Larson's brother. I'll ask him next time I see him.

Reed
