How much total high-pressure experience do you have?

A chief license needs 5 years total experience.

To test for a chief license you must have held a 1st class for at least 1 year.  Notice I said "held".  You do not actually have to operate during this time.  It is a loophole.  You just have to have it for a year.

That being said, you still need a total of 5 years of actual experience to test for a chief license.

I hope this helps.
