Good Morning

I took your class on 07/09/2008 in Owatonna for the Specials Lincese and yes I passed. My question is, how do we know for sure what we need for a boilers license and for proper operation and date collection. Basicly to have someone come in and review our operation / equipment.

We have for boilers:

1-Cleaver Brooks FLX700 250 160

4-Burnham RV7NSL-L2

2-Precision PCW1-60B-480-152 - Electric

Any help in this matter, would be grealty appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the question,

A couple for you:

1.  Do you know the square feet of heating surface for any of these boilers?  If not, do you know the btu/hr input?

2.  Are all of these boilers connected to the same header?

3.  If you need a site visit, what is your location?

Oh - I missed a part of this.  What do you mean by "proper operation and date collection"?

Are you asking about log book requirements?  If so, you are required to have a log book in the boiler room, but the law does not get specific.  The log book should allow you to write down details of what happens in the boiler room.

When did you check the boilers?  When did you start them up or shut them down?  What maintenance and repairs have been done, and when?

I would suggest a permanently bound log book with page numbers, etc.  Pages should not be able to be removed and replaced easily.

Reed
