I have held a Chief "B" Engineer license since April of 2008.

Last October, I passed the State mechanical engineering exam and will shortly be receiving my certificate as Registered Professional Engineer. In March, I will complete graduate school with a MBA.

Are there any provisions or guidance in applying PE credential and graduate education with  a Chief  "B" towards acquiring an "A" license?

Either Joel Amato or I will respond to this.  I sent an email to him for clarification.  Credit was given in the past for having a PE license, but I am unsure whether or not this is still the case.

I will post again when Joel gets back to me unless he responds to you directly.

thank you.

When i was project engineer at Anheuser Busch, I was a startup engineer for a stoker coil fired boiler. Huge Unit. size of a big tall house. We had turbine generating our own electricty for the brewery.

that when i wanted to become certified and work in power plant.

I spoke with Joel and he said there is no provision for allowing experience because someone is a PE.  You may want to speak with him regarding the experience at the brewery.  You never know, he may count some of that.  I'm sure he will ask how much operation you did.

You can find his email here: http://www.doli.state.mn.us/stateinspectors.html

I'm sure there is also a phone number you can call him at on the state web site.

Give me a call when you get the chance.

Are you teaching OSHA classes or are you attending the classes?
