STS-1.17 Heating and Process Plant Tours

This course counts as part of your STS-1 Certification!

Training Outcomes/Program Agenda:

Tour a heating boiler plant (steam or hot water)

Tour a process steam (or hot water) boiler plant

The tour will take 2 to 3 hours (total, both plants)

Tour guide will include at least one Sprung Training instructor and may include boiler room employees

*Note: Both plants may or may not be at the same facility, or the heating plant and process plant may be connected. Also, the tour may consist of two heating plants rather than a heating and process plant, depending on availability.

*Tour may or may not be at the plant shown

**Prerequisites: You must have completed or be signed up for at least four STS-1 classes to sign up for STS-1.17.

Who Should Take This Course?
Students working towards a STS-1 Certification

Facilities:
Tour will be given of a heating boiler plant and a process boiler plant in the Twin Cities Metro Area. Actual dates may change due to schedules of boiler room managers, instructors or other students. If the date changes you will have the opportunity to cancel if the new date does not fit your schedule.
